Agrarian activist
Iwan Nurdin is a well-regarded activist in issues of land advocacy, environment, agrarian reform, and natural resources issues in Indonesia. He has written many books and articles, and has been published in Kompas, The Jakarta Post, Jawapos, and Sinar Harapan, among others. He has conducted advocacy on agrarian reform and natural resources together with the National Human Rights Commission, Indonesian Research Center, and the Presidential Staff Office. He actively provides suggestions and input on policies and programs, and is frequently invited to take part in numerous international forums such the UN Secretariat, the World Bank, and the International Land Coalition. He focuses on policy analysis on land, agriculture, community organising, mediation, and conflict resolution.
